Where We Started
A Step Above Flooring is a Cincinnati flooring company that has been offering consumers options for many years now. They had done a great job of making sure they always did social media posts and blogs but hadn't created a strategy for them. This is not uncommon for many small businesses as owners have so much to do, that creating a strategy of how to make all of their marketing work in unison does not often happen.
After trusting Legend Web Works with their website presence for nearly ten years, they decided after the pandemic it was time to have a strategy for their marketing and have one less thing on their schedule to do.
With superior customer service and great word of mouth, A Step Above Flooring has always done well. They had tremendous sales during the pandemic and wanted to hold onto the traction. They also knew that some of their competitors did better than them online and they wanted to make sure they were more competitive online to complement their customer service.
Crafting a Plan
We began to work with this family-owned business on creating a plan that would be mostly marketing focused by also reviewing their Search Engine Optimization to help everything complement one another.

We worked with their team to craft a plan for social media to help engage their current followers more as well drawing in new followers. We worked with them to create a variety of different posts to see how different types of posts would work including:

- Educational Posts
- Entertainment Posts
We have been curating two blogs a month for them each month to help with two factors - giving fresh content to search engines for SEO, but also creating articles that can be shared on social media to continue to draw in more people for casually scrolling their social media feed to engaging them on site.
With dozens of new blogs over the past two years, their blogs have started to rank as some of the top pages on their site drawing in hundreds of clicks and thousands of impressions from Google.
