Three new members join Legend’s School Website Co-op
Welcome Southwest Local, Middletown City and Wilmington City Schools
In summer of 2018, three new school districts joined the Legend Web Works School Website Co-op, taking advantage of upgraded software with features that make the site not only easier to use for parents and staff but easier to maintain, a welcome change for communication directors and superintendents.
Middletown City Schools’ push to inspire, unite and transform their district has led the team to weave technology into all forms of communication. An updated website was a natural evolution for this community serving more than 6,400 children. Clear, concise organization of content, social media feeds, wide-format photos and time-saving tools for parents like the Report an Absence form make the school website more reliable and trusted source of information than ever before. The team at Wilmington City Schools chose Legend Web Works to develop a new website when they realized they had long out-grown their Google platform. Don Sutton, Director of IT, had this to say about their experience:
“Putting together and designing a website is a monumental task. Finding the right individual or company is even more complex. I am so thankful we found Legend Web Works! Thanks to their knowledge and determination our website looks great, and most important, it’s extremely functional. They have a great design team, tremendous customer support, and a quick turn around on all our requests. I would highly recommend them to anyone trying to build an educational website.”
Features including the ability to set individual user permissions by page level and updating information in one place and feeding it to multiple pages of the website give Wilmington staff and teachers control over the site while saving time and ensuring consistency. Southwest Local Schools welcomed more than 345 new students this school year and their selection of the Legend Web Works platform was based largely on a need to streamline resources while providing the community with an attractive and highly organized communication tool. When users visit the school site from a tablet or mobile device, they are presented with a mobile app that provides the most used resources and information. Users can set preferences for what building information they want to view and they can choose to view the full school website at any time. Visit https://www.southwestschools.org to explore the site.
