Today we will introduce you to Zach Woodrum, our business development specialist. A sales position, Zach’s role is key to identifying new clients and ensuring the satisfaction of existing clients.

Getting to Know Zach Woodrum
What is your role, and what does your job entail?
I work in business development for Legend Web Works (sometimes just called sales). My main responsibility is reaching out to potential clients that are looking to improve their online presence to see if Legend Web Works can offer them what they need. In addition, I call and message current clients to ensure that we are meeting their expectations.
How did you get started in the industry?
I have always had an interest in communication and customer satisfaction.
My professional experience began when I worked with Planet Fitness. I had that job for about four years. This role included a lot of client communication and sales so during this time I developed my skills as a communicator and learned the sales process.
But this is my first job in the web industry, so I am learning a lot! I have always been interested in digital marketing and studied marketing at UC, so I feel I have a strong foundation for success.
What are you best at in terms of your job?
In terms of what I am best at, I excel at communication.
I am very personable and understanding with everyone. I like to think of sales as a conversation where I can learn about a client’s issues instead of selling something to them.
Understanding a client’s perspective is important for me as I become acquainted with what Legend Web Works has to offer.
What's one thing people don't know about you that they would be surprised to find out?
A lot of people might be surprised to learn that I played college baseball for 5 years. I was a starting pitcher and the team captain for UC Clermont. That experience definitely helped me develop my leadership skills!
What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
When outside the office, I enjoy traveling, going to sporting events, and grabbing a drink with friends!
